What the converter processes
The Bank Statement Converter reads selectable-text PDF files in your browser with PDF.js. The PDF bytes, file name, transaction rows, account number, and statement text are not sent to our Worker, D1 database, R2 bucket, analytics providers, or support chat. A temporary copy may remain in this browser's IndexedDB for up to 24 hours so you can return from checkout; use Clear local file to remove it immediately.
Image-only PDFs can be processed with the optional local OCR action. OCR runs in the browser and the recognized page data is not sent to our Worker. Do not select a document unless you have permission to process it on your device.
Information we receive
The conversion API receives only payment and entitlement metadata: a generated order ID, a hash of the browser session nonce, payment status, amount, currency, and, when supplied by the configured payment provider, purchaser email. The payment provider processes checkout details under its own privacy policy. We do not store the source PDF, OCR output, or extracted transaction data.
If you create an account, contact us, or subscribe to a newsletter, we process the name, email, and message information you provide for that separate service. Site analytics and support chat are disabled on converter and checkout pages. Other public pages may load those services after the browser is idle.
How we use information
We use payment metadata to create checkout sessions, confirm webhooks, provide a seven-day export entitlement, prevent order mix-ups, handle refunds, and answer support requests. We use account and contact information to operate the requested account or communication.
Retention and security
Browser-local files are controlled by you and expire from the converter's IndexedDB store after 24 hours. Payment records are retained as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal obligations. We use access controls and signed webhook verification for server-side payment state, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can clear the temporary browser file from the converter or remove site data in your browser. You may contact us to ask about account or payment metadata associated with your request.
